Biography
Emilia Chopin was a member of the prominent Chopin family during the early 19th century. Though her life was tragically brief, she lived during Poland's golden age of musical achievement, surrounded by the cultural ferment that would define the Romantic era.
Emilia was buried at Powązki Cemetery in Warsaw, the final resting place of many of Poland's notable cultural figures. Her early death at fifteen represents one of the family's personal sorrows during a period of significant artistic accomplishment.
