Emily Davison

Biography

Emily Davison (1872–1913) was a dedicated educator who worked as a teacher, contributing to the intellectual development of her students during the Edwardian era. Her commitment to education reflected the values of a woman determined to make a meaningful difference in her community.

Davison's life, though brief, left an impression on those she taught and served. She was laid to rest near the Church of St Mary, approximately 100 yards north-west of the church building, where her grave stands as a testament to her memory.
