Biography
Emma Nevada (1859–1940) graced opera houses on both sides of the Atlantic, bringing a luminous soprano and gentle artistry to roles from Lucia to Gilda and earning the admiration of audiences and colleagues alike.
Even after she withdrew from the stage, she remained generous with guidance to young singers, and the peace of St Peter and St Paul Churchyard suits the grace with which she conducted her life.
