Enoch Huntington

Biography

Enoch Huntington, born in 1739, was a devoted steward of the Mortimer settlement whose calm leadership helped neighbors carve out a community amid the challenges of the early republic.

He balanced the duties of land, local governance, and family life, and in 1809 he was buried in Mortimer Cemetery, where the settlement he helped nurture remembers him.
