Biography

Enoch W. Eastman came to Iowa in his youth and rose as a lawyer and public servant, serving in the legislature and as Secretary of State while championing a careful reading of the Constitution and the rights of his fellow citizens.

He insisted on fidelity to principle amid the strains of growth and now lies in Eldora Cemetery, where his commitment to the republic still inspires those who remember his clear-headed leadership.
