Biography

Ephraim H. Foster was a prominent figure in early Nashville society during the formative years of Tennessee's development. He lived through a transformative period in American history, witnessing the growth and establishment of Nashville as a significant regional center.

Foster's life spanned from 1794 to 1854, a period of sixty years that encompassed the early republic and the antebellum era. He was laid to rest in Nashville City Cemetery, where he remains a part of the historical record of Tennessee's pioneer generation.
