Ernest de Fréville was a French historian born in 1811 who dedicated his scholarly career to the study and documentation of history. His work contributed to the intellectual and cultural discourse of 19th-century France during a period of significant historical interest and academic development.
De Fréville's historical research and writings reflected the intellectual rigor of his era. Though his life was relatively brief, ending in 1855, his contributions to historical scholarship were valued by his contemporaries, and he was ultimately laid to rest in the esteemed Père Lachaise Cemetery.
