Biography
Ernest Russell Lyon was a British airman who served with distinction during the Second World War. As a member of the Royal Air Force, he participated in the aerial campaigns that were crucial to the Allied victory in Europe.
Flying Officer Lyon made the supreme sacrifice in 1944 at the age of 22. His courage and service are commemorated at Guidel Communal Cemetery, a lasting tribute to the young airmen who gave their lives for freedom.
