Biography

Ernő Csiki (1875–1954) devoted his life to entomology, compiling catalogs of beetles, curating the growing insect collections at the Hungarian National Museum, and sharing his enthusiasm for natural history with budding researchers.

His meticulous records and gentle encouragement helped generations of scientists to recognize the richness of Central European fauna, and his memory rests in Farkasréti Cemetery among other stewards of science.
