Esther Coggeshall

Biography

Esther Coggeshall was born in 1764 and lived through the American Revolution and the early republic. Her long life spanned nine decades and witnessed the transformation of a young nation into a growing power.

Coggeshall passed away in 1854 and was laid to rest in Linwood Cemetery. Her remarkable longevity and the span of her life made her a living connection to America's founding generation.
