Biography

Eugeniusz Zahorski was a skilled chess player who contributed to the intellectual and recreational culture of his time. Born in 1881, he pursued chess during an era when the game was gaining prominence as both a competitive sport and intellectual pursuit.

Zahorski's engagement with chess reflected the growing appreciation for strategic thinking and intellectual competition in early 20th-century society. He continued his involvement with the game until his death in 1947. He was interred at Rakowicki Cemetery.
