Biography

Euphemia Blenkinsop (1816–1887) emigrated from Ireland to the United States and answered a call to religious life, becoming a Sisters of Charity nurse and teacher. She devoted decades to serving the sick and the poor, offering comfort in hospitals and running schools where children could grow in faith and learning.

Her quiet witness to compassion, patience, and devotion is remembered at the National Shrine of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, where she is laid to rest among companions in service.
