Biography
Eustoquio Díaz-Vélez (1782–1856) was an Argentine military officer who served with distinction during the wars of independence and the early years of the republic. He participated in important military campaigns and held various command positions throughout his career.
Díaz-Vélez' military service and commitment to Argentine independence and national security earned him recognition among his contemporaries. His burial in Recoleta Cemetery reflects the esteem in which he was held as a dedicated military leader and patriot.
