Eva Maaring
1927–2021 (age 94)
Biography
Eva Maaring charted landscapes with a geographer’s eye, seeking to understand how land and people shaped one another across the Estonian countryside. Her studies deepened the appreciation of natural patterns, and she shared those insights through conversations, mentorship, and faithful observation of the terrain she held dear.
She leaves behind a richer understanding of place for those who followed her work, and Liiva Cemetery now cradles her in quiet remembrance, allowing others to reflect on the balance she championed between people and earth.
