Evan Pugh

Biography

Evan Pugh was a notable figure of the nineteenth century whose contributions to his community and era warrant remembrance. Born in 1828, he lived during a period of significant American development and social change, establishing himself as a person of some prominence.

Pugh died in 1864 at the age of thirty-six and was laid to rest at Union Cemetery. His life, though cut short, represented the generation that lived through the American Civil War and its profound impact on the nation.
