Biography

Évariste de Parny (1753–1814) was a celebrated French writer whose literary works earned him recognition among the intellectual and cultural circles of his era. His contributions to French literature reflected the sensibilities and artistic movements of the late 18th century, establishing him as a notable voice in French letters.

De Parny's literary career flourished despite the turbulent political climate of the Revolutionary and Napoleonic periods. He died in 1814 and was honored with burial in Père Lachaise Cemetery, where he rests among the distinguished writers and thinkers who shaped French cultural life.
