Biography

Ezra Randall Andrews spent the better part of the 19th century guiding charitable and educational efforts in the Rochester area, offering steady leadership and wise counsel to neighbors who relied on his kindness. He was known for his readiness to listen, his support of local institutions, and his belief that public life should lift the whole community.

Those who knew him remembered a warm friend and a patient steward of shared causes; he died in 1900 and was laid to rest at Mount Hope Cemetery.
