Fanni Neugewürz

Biography

Fanni Neugewürz was a woman of the Brno Jewish community who lived through much of the 19th century. She was part of a generation of women who maintained the cultural and spiritual traditions that sustained Jewish family and community life.

Her memory is honored in the Jewish cemetery of Brno, where she rests among members of the community she knew. Neugewürz's life spanned nearly 75 years of Central European Jewish history and tradition.
