Fanny Bullock Workman, born in 1859, was a pioneering mountaineer whose ambitious expeditions in the Himalayas shattered expectations for women on the world’s highest peaks. Her scientific observations, detailed maps, and courageous ascents broadened the understanding of high-altitude exploration.
