Biography
Fanny Metzger was born in 1868 and lived through the transformative decades of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Her 72 years of life witnessed tremendous social and political change before her death in Terezín in 1940.
Fanny's long life encompassed a period of rapid modernization and upheaval in Europe. She is honored at the National Cemetery in Terezín, where her memory is preserved among those who suffered during this dark era of history.
