Biography

Fanny Petersen (1861–1934) was a Danish painter whose artistic works enriched the cultural and visual heritage of Denmark. Her paintings reflected the aesthetic sensibilities of her era, and as a woman artist, she contributed significantly to the expanding role of women in the fine arts during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
