Biography

Federico Chávez, who served both as president and later as a leader in the judiciary, was a tireless advocate for institutional reform and agricultural development. He valued education and sought to strengthen Paraguay’s municipal governments, convinced that a robust democracy required engaged citizens at every level.

After his presidency he continued to guide younger leaders, sharing lessons learned from times of prosperity and crisis alike, and ensuring that the rule of law remained a cornerstone of Paraguayan national life.
