Biography

Felix Yusupov (1887–1967) was a Russian aristocrat whose life encompassed the dramatic transformation of Russian society during the twentieth century. Born into one of Russia's most prominent noble families, he witnessed the end of the imperial era and the revolutionary upheaval that followed.

Yusupov's later life was spent in exile in Western Europe, where he became a prominent figure in the Russian émigré community. His memoirs and reflections on his extraordinary life provided valuable historical perspectives on pre-revolutionary Russian aristocratic society. He was buried at Sainte-Geneviève-des-Bois Russian Cemetery, a sanctuary for many displaced Russian nobility.
