Biography

Ferdinand I of the Two Sicilies (1751–1825) was a long-reigning European monarch who ruled the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies through a period of profound political upheaval. His reign encompassed the French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars, during which he navigated complex diplomatic challenges and territorial disputes.

Ferdinand was buried at Santa Chiara in Naples, the royal church of his kingdom. His lengthy reign and the circumstances of his rule left a lasting imprint on Southern Italian history and governance.
