Biography

Ferenc Bene, born in 1775, spent his life in the service of healing as a physician during a time when medical practice was evolving rapidly. He offered comfort and care across social boundaries, earning gratitude from families in both the city and the countryside.

His calm steadiness and tireless advocacy for public health earned him esteem among colleagues, and his legacy endures as one of compassionate service; he now rests at the Fiume Road Graveyard.
