Biography

Ferenc Kozmata was a Hungarian photographer who documented life in Budapest during the late 19th century. As a practitioner of the relatively new medium of photography, he contributed to the visual record of his era and the development of photographic arts in Hungary.

Kozmata's career spanned a period of rapid technological and social change in Budapest. He was interred at Farkasréti Cemetery, one of the city's most distinguished burial grounds.
