Biography

Ferenc Mérei (1909–1986) was a psychiatrist whose pioneering work in social psychology and child development insisted on empathy and rigorous observation.

Despite the hardships he faced, he nurtured a community of thoughtful practitioners, and the Óbuda Jewish Cemetery now keeps his memory close to those he served.
