Ferris Fain was a five-time All-Star first baseman whose smooth stroke earned him back-to-back American League batting titles in the early 1950s.

After his playing days, he remained a familiar figure to teammates and fans alike, remembered for his quiet determination and the friendship he offered in every clubhouse, now honored at Georgetown Pioneer Cemetery.
