Biography

Filip Hyšman (1851–1922) was a Czech teacher whose career in education spanned the latter half of the nineteenth century and the early twentieth century. Based in Nové Strašecí, he contributed to the intellectual development of his community through his dedication to teaching.

Hyšman's work as an educator reflected the important role teachers played in Czech society during a period when education was becoming increasingly central to national identity and cultural preservation.
