Biography

Fletcher D. Proctor, born in 1860 into a family of civic engagement, rose to statewide prominence as a thoughtful politician and governor of Vermont. Throughout his career he sought to steer the state toward improved infrastructure, honest government, and a prosperous future for working families.

Proctor’s public service was matched by a private dedication to his community, where he sought to mentor the next generation of leaders and support charitable causes.
