Biography

Fletcher Ferris Ryer, born in 1861, devoted himself to teaching and to the practical arts that helped families make their way in a changing world.

He led efforts to improve training schools and supported the creation of public programs that gave young people purpose and confidence; his devotion to mentorship left a lasting imprint on the Cypress Lawn community where he now rests.
