Florence Gertrude Mackay (1865–1945) was a woman of the late Victorian and early twentieth-century era who lived through significant periods of social and historical change in Australia. She maintained connections to her community throughout her life and was remembered as part of the social fabric of her time.
Mackay's life spanned eight decades, witnessing the development of Western Australia from colonial times through to the mid-twentieth century. She was laid to rest at Karrakatta Cemetery, one of Perth's most significant burial grounds, where many notable figures of the era were interred.
