Biography
Frances Dunlap Heron treasured the connections that come from a long life of friendships, cultivating her garden, welcoming guests, and recalling family stories with humor and grace. She believed that community depends on kindness, and she practiced that belief every day by uplifting those around her.
Her many contributions to Santa Barbara's civic and cultural life included supporting library events, mentoring younger women, and ensuring that traditions were passed on with respect, giving those who came after her a firm foundation from which to grow.
