Frances Ogden Edwards (1749–1800) was a woman of the early American period whose life spanned the transformative years of the nation's founding. She resided in New Haven, Connecticut, where she was buried in Grove Street Cemetery, one of the first landscaped cemeteries in the United States.
Though records of her personal accomplishments are limited, Edwards represents the many women whose lives shaped the fabric of early American society through family, community, and domestic contributions during a pivotal era in the nation's history.
