Biography

Franciszek Symon (1841–1918) was a Catholic priest who served the spiritual needs of his community throughout the latter 19th and early 20th centuries. His long ministry spanned a period of significant religious and social change in Poland, during which the Church played a vital role in maintaining national identity and cultural continuity.

Father Symon's dedication to his priesthood extended across nearly eight decades of life, witnessing Poland's struggle under partition and its eventual restoration to independence. He was interred in Rakowicki Cemetery in Kraków, a place of honor reflecting his standing as a respected member of the clergy and his community.
