Biography

François de Montaudouin was born in 1922 and came of age as France was occupied; he chose to join the Resistance, helping to keep lines of communication open and offering shelter to fellow patriots.

He was killed in 1944 while continuing those clandestine efforts, and his name is honored among the defenders at Sainte-Pallaye.
