Biography
François-Gervais Richard was a French painter of the nineteenth century who contributed to the artistic landscape of his era. Active during a period of significant artistic innovation, he pursued his craft with dedication and skill throughout his career.
Richard's artistic legacy was preserved in the memory of his contemporaries and in the collections of those who appreciated his work. He was interred in Père Lachaise Cemetery, the final resting place of many of France's cultural figures.
