Biography
François Roche was born in 1949 and became a teacher whose classroom radiated warmth and encouragement, whether he was leading discussions in literature or guiding students through civic projects. He believed in education as the foundation of a renewing republic, and he invited learners to question, to listen, and to help one another.
Outside the classroom, Roche published helpful learning guides, coached youth theater, and stayed close to former students, leaving behind a legacy of curiosity and kindness when he passed in 2009.
