Biography
Frank Glasgow Tinker became known for his daring service as an American volunteer pilot in the Spanish Civil War, flying in defense of the Spanish Republic during a time of great turmoil. Born in 1909, he combined bravery with a reflective mind, chronicling his experiences in the skies and the challenges of warfare.
His writings preserved the moods of a conflicted era, and upon his return he sought to share lessons learned before his early death in 1939. He is laid to rest at De Witt Cemetery, remembered for both his courage and his voice.
