Biography
Born in 1910 in Vienna, Frank Pelleg brought to the Land of Israel a deep knowledge of European composition and set about creating music both lyrical and modern, weaving the sounds of the new homeland into concert works, choral pieces, and film scores.
He also taught generations of Israeli musicians and helped to shape institutions that nurtured classical music on local soil, leaving a legacy of refined orchestral and chamber works that continue to resonate for those who visit his resting place at Hof HaCarmel Cemetery.
