Frank Thompson

Biography

Frank Thompson was an American baseball player whose athletic career spanned the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Born in 1886, he participated in the sport during a formative period in American baseball history, contributing to the development of the national pastime during its early professional era.

Thompson's life was tragically cut short when he died in 1918, a casualty of World War I. His sacrifice represents the many athletes and young men who left the playing fields to serve their country during the Great War. He is memorialized at St. Mihiel American Cemetery and Memorial, a solemn tribute to those who gave their lives in the conflict.
