Frank W. Benson, born in 1858, answered the call to public service in Oregon after making his home in Roseburg, carrying a deep sense of duty into every office he held. His leadership reflected a heartbeat for the people he served, and he worked tirelessly to leave a better civic life for those who followed.
Benson is remembered not only for the roles he filled but for the character with which he filled them, and he lies now in Roseburg IOOF Cemetery honored by the community he loved.
