Biography
Frank W. Hunt, born in 1861, rose from mining camps in Idaho to become the state’s fifth governor at the turn of the century, bringing youthful energy to a rapidly growing region.
While in office he encouraged the expansion of rail lines, the improvement of schools, and the development of responsible mining regulations, and after leaving the executive chair he remained engaged in business and civic affairs before being buried in Pioneer Cemetery.
