Biography

František Běhounek (1898–1973) was a Czech writer whose literary contributions enriched Czech culture during the twentieth century. His career spanned decades of significant change in his homeland, from the early Czechoslovak period through the communist era. Běhounek's work reflected the intellectual traditions and creative spirit of Prague's literary community.

As a writer, Běhounek participated in the cultural discourse of his time, contributing to Czech letters during a period of considerable historical upheaval.
