Biography
František Hanáček lived through nearly seven decades of Czech history, experiencing the nation's evolution from the Austro-Hungarian Empire through the establishment and development of the modern Czech state. His long life spanned remarkable periods of cultural and political transformation.
Hanáček passed away in 1955 and was interred in the Cemetery in Josefov (Jaroměř), where he rests as a member of the generation that witnessed the birth of modern Czechoslovakia.
