Biography

František Marek was born in 1888 and passed away in 1953, living a full sixty-five years as a dedicated member of the Brno community. He was among the oldest of his generation, having witnessed the transformation of Central Europe from the Austro-Hungarian Empire through the mid-twentieth century.

Marek's long life allowed him to see the dramatic changes that reshaped his homeland and city. He remained rooted in Brno, contributing to the continuity and stability of his community through periods of significant upheaval. He was laid to rest in Brno Central Cemetery, where he is remembered as a respected elder of his generation and a faithful son of Moravia.
