František Melichar

Biography

František Melichar (1898–1938) was a member of the Brno community during the interwar period. Born near the end of World War I, he came of age during the early years of the Czechoslovak Republic, a time of national development and cultural flourishing in Moravia.

Melichar's life, though cut short, was lived during a pivotal moment in Central European history. He is commemorated at Brno Central Cemetery, where he rests among the city's notable residents and citizens.
