Biography

Franz Pieper was a Lutheran theologian who served as president of Concordia Seminary in St. Louis and authored the multi-volume Christian Dogmatics, anchoring confessional Lutheran teaching for pastors and scholars.

His scholarship and leadership shaped seminary education and pastoral formation until his death in 1931.
