Biography

Franz, Prince of Thun and Hohenstein, was a prominent Bohemian nobleman and politician who played an important role in the political life of the Austro-Hungarian Empire during the 19th and early 20th centuries. As a member of one of Central Europe's most distinguished aristocratic families, he wielded considerable influence in regional affairs and governance.

Prince Franz dedicated much of his life to public service and political engagement, representing the interests of his class and region. He passed away in 1916 and was interred in the Thun-Hohenstein Vault in Děčín-Chrást, a final resting place befitting his prominent station and family legacy.
