Franziska Rath

Biography

Franziska Rath dedicated her resources to philanthropic work in Baden, promoting education, health, and relief efforts that strengthened the bonds of community in a time of great social need.

Her careful attention to the poor and to women’s welfare convened many to shared goodwill, and after she died in 1880 the memory of her generous devotion endures in the Stadtpfarrfriedhof Baden where she rests.
